Little Lake, Big View

Little Lake, Big ViewLittle Lake, Big ViewCascades lake in Rochester MN. A small artificial lake in what is planned to be a city park. Intimate sunset. At times, a small corner of the world can have a great view.  This sunset image was taken in my neighborhood, Cascades in Rochester, MN.  The lake is a small artificial one, the sunset is natural and big.  A beautiful surrounding for an evening walk around the lake, wild flowers next to it, and some geese swing in it. Just beautiful calm and serene.

Reality and Perception

The distorted image of a building on a square and very stable pattern seems to show reality and perception.  The combination of both resembles life. Alone

“A Street in Paris”.  This photo is not what you would expect with such a tittle, but it shows quite a bit about the city. To start with, the lone leaf indicates we are in the Fall, the wet cobblestones not only indicate an old street, but are typical of Paris, where it rains more than in London.  The light from the side suggests it is in the evening.  But the most compelling story is the leaf, left by Mother Nature, and the cigarette butt left by human presence.  Both are alone, wet, and mostly unseen by passersby.

Amazing how much an image from a little corner can show and suggest us!

Morning serenity

Just at dawn in late February 2016, I went out in San Alfonso de Mar, Chile to shoot some pictures.  The serenity and calm is a great time to start the day, and it didn't disappoint.  The lines that separate the water in this pool, claimed to be the largest sea water one in the world, create an interesting composition while still maintain the sense of quietness.  Just an amazing place and morning.
